Karel Schwarzenberg

About

Karel Schwarzenberg (1937–2023) was a Czech politician and nobleman of the Schwarzenberg family. After emigrating in 1948, he worked in exile as chairman of the Charter 77 Foundation and a close associate of Václav Havel. After returning to Czechoslovakia, he served as Czech Foreign Minister and ran as a presidential candidate.
