Karel Absolon (1877–1960) was a Czech archaeologist and naturalist, known for his research of the Moravian Karst and Palaeolithic sites. He conducted excavations at Dolní Věstonice and Předmostí, uncovering mammoth remains and significant prehistoric artefacts. He is regarded as a key figure in Czech prehistoric archaeology.
