Josef Koudelka is a Czech photographer of international standing, born near Boskovice in Moravia. He is best known for his series Invasion 68, documenting the Soviet-led occupation of Czechoslovakia in August 1968 — widely regarded as one of the most important photo reportages of the 20th century. He spent many years in exile and is a member of the Magnum Photos agency.
