JAMU ansámbl is a student jazz ensemble of the Faculty of Music at Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno, whose jazz department has been running since 2010. The ensemble is led by pianist and lecturer Jiří Levíček, who has long focused on jazz composition and arranging. In the Motown & More programme, the group performs songs by Marvin Gaye, Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder and Aretha Franklin - music rooted in the shared tradition of blues and gospel.
