Ivo Šmoldas (born 23 July 1955 in Prostějov) is a Czech poet, cultural journalist, radio host, screenwriter and translator. After studying Czech and English at Charles University's Faculty of Arts, he worked in publishing - eventually running Columbus publishing house and co-founding Apsida. He is best known for his dry, intellectual wit and for hosting the long-running talk show Lenoška Iva Šmoldase on Czech Radio Dvojka, while also touring his own live talk show across Czech cultural venues. Since December 2024 he has appeared on stage in the comedy BAŤMAN at Divadlo Na Jezerce in Prague.
