Hlaskontrabas Oktet is a Czech jazz ensemble built around an unusual lineup of four voices and four double basses. The group grew out of the duo Hlaskontrabas by Ridina Ahmedová and Petr Tichý, expanded into an eight-piece band of prominent Czech musicians. Their 2024 album Kaleidoscopes (Animal Music) earned an Anděl Award nomination and won the Czech Radio critics' poll Česká jazzová sklizeň.
