Hermanos Gutiérrez
Argentine guitar duo Hermanos Gutiérrez brings virtuosic and emotionally resonant playing to the Lucerna stage.
Hermanos Gutiérrez is a Swiss-Ecuadorian instrumental guitar duo formed in Zurich in 2015 by brothers Estevan and Alejandro Gutiérrez. Their wordless music draws on Latin American rhythms, spaghetti-western soundtracks, and vintage psychedelia, with guitars, lap steel, and organic percussion as their only tools. Since 2022 they have recorded with producer Dan Auerbach at his Easy Eye Sound studio in Nashville, releasing three acclaimed albums there; their sixth record, Sonido Cósmico (2024), scored 87/100 on Metacritic.
The duo announced the release of their seventh album Los Ojos Del Cóndor (September 25, 2026, Easy Eye Sound), again produced by Dan Auerbach, and a world tour covering North America and Europe.
The single Elegantly Wasted (feat. Leon Bridges) was nominated for the 2026 Grammy Award in the Best Producer category (Dan Auerbach).
The duo performed an autumn tour across the USA with stops in Boulder, Salt Lake City, Philadelphia, Brooklyn, Washington, and Atlanta.
Hermanos Gutiérrez participated in the album Cancionera by Mexican singer Natalie Lafourcade, where they played on the track Luna Creciente.
The duo performed as the opening act for The Black Keys on part of their spring tour No Rain No Flowers across the USA.
