Happy To Meet is a Czech world-music/rock band from Šumperk, formed in 1998 as the backing group for Irish singer Eoghan O'Reilly. After O'Reilly's departure the band developed its own voice - Celtic flavour as inspiration rather than genre label - built around the vocal pairing of singer Martina Ženožičková and baritone Gogo Bílek, with fiddle, banjo, dobro, mandolin and Irish flute alongside a standard rock rhythm section. Over 25 years they have released five albums, won the Zlatý klíč award for Discovery of the Year 2000, and tour regularly in the Czech Republic, Poland, the Netherlands and Slovakia.
Happy To Meet performed at the 6th edition of the Celtic Evening at the Šumperk House of Culture together with Kukulín and Jan Hrubý.
The band played at the Džungle fest festival in Bratrušov (2. 8. 2025) and at the Země Keltů festival in Nasavrky (26. 7. 2025).
Happy To Meet were among the main attractions of the 5th edition of the Celtic Evening in Šumperk.
