Hans-Peter Riese (b. 1941, Enger) is a German journalist, art critic, and curator. He served as a foreign correspondent for ARD in Prague, Moscow, and Washington, and wrote art criticism for the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung for forty years. Since retiring in 2006, he has curated exhibitions internationally and authored monographs, focusing on constructive and concrete art from both sides of the former Iron Curtain.
