Hans-Peter Riese – Curatorial Projects at Galerie Závodný

The exhibition Curatorial Projects at Galerie Závodný in Mikulov presents a retrospective of the curatorial work of Hans-Peter Riese, a German journalist, publicist, and author of numerous scholarly texts on visual art. Riese has collaborated with Galerie Závodný for many years and has curated exhibitions of artists such as Ewert Hilgemann, Hans-Jörg Glattfelder, Andreas Brandt, Hartmut Böhm, Christian Megert, Heijo Hangen, and Milan Dobeš.

The opening reception takes place on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 6:00 PM in the gallery at Husova Street 3 in the historic center of Mikulov. The exhibition is part of the broader cultural programme in Mikulov – within the Fragile Mikulov festival (May 29–31, 2026), a guided tour of the exhibition is planned. Galerie Závodný is a private gallery opened in 2011, whose exhibition programme focuses on geometric, minimalist, and conceptual art by Czech and international artists.
