About

Gruppo Folkloristico Trevigiano is an Italian folk ensemble founded in Treviso in 1968, dedicated to preserving the popular traditions of the Marca Trevigiana region. Its roughly thirty performers - dancers, musicians playing traditional instruments, and costumed character figures - recreate the songs, dances and everyday scenes of the old Trevisan countryside. Since 1969 the group has toured internationally, appearing in countries across Europe, Russia and Australia. It also co-manages the Museo Etnografico Provinciale "Case Piavone" in Treviso and organises an annual international folklore festival.
