Josef Gočár (1880–1945) was a Czech architect and a leading figure of Czech Cubist and Rondo-Cubist architecture. He left a major mark on Hradec Králové, where he designed numerous buildings that transformed the city into a model of modern urban planning. He is regarded as one of the most important Czech architects of the interwar period.
