Schools – Finding Form
An interactive workshop for preschoolers and early primary students to explore sculpture through hands-on carving and discover how form and material interact.
František Pacík (1927-1975) was a Czech sculptor admitted to the Prague Academy of Fine Arts without a school-leaving certificate, recognised as an exceptional talent. His work moves between figuration and abstraction, ranging from cubist-influenced figures to stone carvings and public sculptures across Prague, Plzeň and other cities. He was a member of the artists' group Etapa, and after his death fell into near-total obscurity until a retrospective at the West Bohemian Gallery in Plzeň in 2009 brought his work back to attention.
😴 Nothing scheduled with this artist in the near future.
