Schools – Finding Form
took place · 28 May 2026
Description was written before the event
What is sculpture? What materials can a sculptor use and which ones can we find in the gallery? This programme explores the relationship between form and material and the ways sculpture is created.
In the studio, children will try their hand at sculpture using the subtractive method – with the help of a file or chisel, they search for their own form hidden in the sculptural material. The programme relates to works by Hana Wichterlová, František Pacík and Zbyněk Sekal.
Target group: preschool / grades 1–3. Duration: 60–90 minutes. Price: 100 CZK. Capacity: 12–30 people, 2 teachers free.
