Francesca Svatek is a Czech painter and printmaker who studied at the Accademia di Brera in Milan and in Urbino. Her paintings draw on quick travel sketches, rendered with characteristically bright colour. In printmaking she turns to her immediate surroundings - horses, cats, geese and other animals from the family yard. She also teaches workshops at Port 1560 in Český Krumlov.
