About

Dominik Styk is a Czech visual artist with a background in alternative scenography, which feeds directly into his performative approach to making art. He builds objects, installations and puppets drawing on fungal, animal and floral forms - fragments of nature that morph into hybrid, imaginary creatures. His practice is rooted in patient handcraft: draping, sewing and thinking through material. He has shown at Galerie 35m2, Galerie Hraničář and the 2022 Jindřich Chalupecký Award exhibition.
