Divadlo Tramtarie is an independent professional theatre founded in Olomouc in 2004, based at the Slovanský dům since 2006. It stages four premieres per season for adults and children, giving around 250 performances a year to more than 20,000 audience members. Its repertoire spans literary adaptations, original plays and fairy tales, making it the only independent theatre in the Olomouc Region with a permanent ensemble.
Theater Tramtarie announced a move to the Hanáckých barracks on 1. máje street in Olomouc; the new hall will accommodate up to 160 spectators - double the current capacity - and the opening is planned for January 2027.
To finance the reconstruction of the new space (estimated costs 9 million crowns), the theater launched a public fundraising campaign on the Donio platform.
Theater Tramtarie presented on November 10, 2025 the premiere of the production Madame Bovary based on the novel by Gustave Flaubert directed by Vladislav Kracík.
On September 18, 2025, the premiere of Cabaret Naked Shakespeare 2 took place, a free continuation of the cult production that has been in the theater's repertoire for ten years.
After twenty years in office, director Petra Němečková left; the leadership of the theater was taken over by former artistic director Vladislav Kracík.
