DH Hulíňané

About

DH Hulíňané is a traditional Moravian brass band from Hulín, formed in September 1996 out of students of Václav Smola and the youth orchestra Morava at the local music school. Over three decades the ensemble has become one of the Czech Republic's leading brass bands, winning the European Championship of Brass Bands in the middle class in 2009. Its repertoire spans polkas, waltzes and tangos alongside more contemporary dance music, and the band regularly plays at balls, folk festivals and town celebrations.
