Cuniburo Cultural is an Ecuadorian folklore ensemble from Cayambe and Quito, bringing together the music project Ñanpi (founded 1991) and the dance group Allpamanta (2009). The name comes from a figure in Kaiambi indigenous mythology - a sprite said to have cooled the earth with ice from Mount Cayambe. The ensemble tours international CIOFF® festivals worldwide, presenting traditional Ecuadorian music and dance.
