Obscene Extreme 2026
A legendary DIY extreme-music festival running July 1–5 in Trutnov with 84 international bands, vegan food, and a welcoming atmosphere for all.
Converge are an American metalcore band from Salem, Massachusetts, founded in 1990 by vocalist Jacob Bannon and guitarist Kurt Ballou. Their fourth album Jane Doe (2001) is widely regarded as a landmark of the genre, bridging hardcore punk, heavy metal, and noise rock. The classic four-piece lineup - Bannon, Ballou, bassist Nate Newton, and drummer Ben Koller - has been intact since 2001, and the band is known for its uncompromising DIY ethos and ferocious live performances.
Converge released their twelfth studio album Hum of Hurt on June 5, 2026 through Epitaph Records and Deathwish Inc.
On February 13, 2026, the eleventh album Love Is Not Enough (Epitaph/Deathwish) was released, which received a score of 84/100 on Metacritic and a rating of 5/5 from Kerrang!
In March 2026, the band announced that the albums Love Is Not Enough and Hum of Hurt were created from shared recording sessions - there was so much material that they created two separate albums.
In summer 2026, Converge will perform at European festivals including Outbreak Fest in Manchester, Jera On Air in the Netherlands, and Trutnov Open Air in the Czech Republic.
In February 2025, the band announced an American tour around the Sonic Temple and Welcome to Rockville festivals and confirmed that they are preparing new music in 2025.
