Converge is an American hardcore/metal band from Massachusetts, active since 1990. Their music blends hardcore punk with metal and noise rock, and their album Jane Doe (2001) is widely regarded as one of the most influential records in the genre. The band is known for ferocious live performances and a steadfast DIY ethic.
