Carmina Burana

Carmina Burana is a scenic cantata by German composer Carl Orff, completed in 1937 and based on medieval Latin and Middle High German poems. Its opening and closing chorus O Fortuna has become one of the most recognisable pieces in all of classical music. The work calls for a large orchestra, chorus and soloists.
