ČAD is a Slovak thrash metal band from Svätý Jur, active since 1994. The group is fronted by guitarist and writer Pišta Vandal (born Štefan Chrappa), whose lyrics mix biting social commentary with dark humour. The band is a regular fixture at Czech and Slovak metal festivals and has won multiple Slovak music awards in the Hard and Heavy category. Their ninth studio album, Veľký tresk, was released in November 2024.
ČAD performed at the SORFEST 2026 festival at Silesian-Ostrava Castle (June 6, 2026).
In February 2025, the band embarked on a sixteen-stop anniversary tour celebrating thirty years of existence.
On November 1, 2024, the ninth studio album Veľký tresk was released, recorded at Sono Records in Unhošť.
The band completed a spring joint tour with Czech band Hejtman.
