About

Banjo Band Ivana Mládka is a Czech comedy music group founded in 1966 by singer, songwriter and entertainer Ivan Mládek. The band blends country, Dixieland and folk-flavoured humour, performing almost exclusively Mládek's own compositions. Their 1977 song Jožin z bažin became a viral internet phenomenon in 2008, topping radio charts in Poland and Hungary and spreading as a meme across Russia and Austria. Over nearly six decades, Mládek has written more than 600 songs and performed thousands of shows at home and abroad.
