Austin TV (MEX) / live
Mexican instrumental post-math-rock band Austin TV performs a live concert at Prague's Bike Jesus club.
Austin TV is an instrumental post-rock and math-rock band formed in 2001 in Mexico City. They always perform masked and under nicknames, guided by the motto "Tu cara no importa, importas tú" (Your face doesn't matter, you matter). Over two decades they became one of the most influential independent bands in Ibero-America, playing Coachella, Vive Latino and SXSW. After a near-decade hiatus they returned in 2022 and have since released the album Rizoma (2023) and the EP Indra (2025).
Austin TV released a new single 171 (∅ ⊆ A) and announced a tour across Europe and the USA as part of their fifth studio era named MA.
The band started their Spanish tour - on June 7 they performed in Madrid at Sala El Sol, followed by Barcelona, Valencia, Oviedo and Donosti.
Austin TV performed the EP Indra in full at the Hipnosis 2025 festival in Mexico City - it was the only such performance.
The band released the EP Indra (four tracks, 16 minutes) through their own label Sonidos Lindavista - the first new material after the album Rizoma.
Austin TV closed Verbena Navideña 2024 at Zócalo in Mexico City in front of more than 90,000 spectators.
