About

Aleš Briscein is a Czech operatic tenor born in Liberec, a soloist of the National Theatre in Prague since his debut there in 1995. His repertoire spans Czech opera (Smetana, Dvořák, Janáček, Fibich), Italian, German, French and Russian works, and he regularly appears at leading European houses including the Opéra national de Paris and the Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin. In 2018, Bachtrack ranked him 7th among the world's busiest opera singers; he holds two Thália Awards and the Austrian Musiktheaterpreis.
