Slavkov – Austerlitz Chateau is one of the most massive Baroque castles in Moravia. Originally a medieval stronghold of the Teutonic Knights, it became the residence of the Kaunitz family at the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries. In the oval Historic Hall, the armistice after the Battle of the Three Emperors was signed on 6 December 1805. Since 2008 it has been a national cultural monument owned by the town of Slavkov u Brna. The complex includes a 15.5-hectare park and a permanent exhibition on the Napoleonic Wars.
