About the venue

Tyršův stadion is an athletics stadium in Opava, opened in 1926, with a capacity of 5,000 spectators. It is run by TJ Sokol Opava and also used by athletes from TJ Slezan Opava. The complex includes a multi-purpose indoor gym with a covered 60 m running track, rebuilt in 2011 by the QARTA architektura studio. Outside scheduled training sessions, the outdoor area with a grass pitch and running oval is open to the public.
