About the venue

Janáček Theatre is the main opera and ballet stage of the National Theatre Brno. The modernist building was opened in 1965 and named after the renowned Brno-born composer Leoš Janáček. It hosts a regular programme of opera, ballet, and orchestral performances and is one of the largest theatre venues in the Czech Republic.
