About the venue

Smetanova Litomyšl is a non-profit organisation behind the annual international opera festival held in Litomyšl, the birthplace of Bedřich Smetana. Performances take place on the courtyard stage of the Renaissance castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The programme also includes chamber concerts, theatre and a range of accompanying events.
