About the venue

Terezín Fortress is an 18th-century baroque military stronghold built on the orders of Emperor Joseph II. During World War II the Nazis turned it into a ghetto and transit camp, through which tens of thousands of prisoners - mostly Jews - passed on their way to extermination camps. Today it functions as a memorial site and museum dedicated to the victims of the Holocaust.
