About the venue

Michalov is Přerov's largest and oldest city park, laid out in 1904 on the site of a former marshy forest to designs by landscape architect František Thomayer. Its 20.5 hectares stretch between the Bečva river and the Žebračka forest, and include ornamental flower beds, a bandstand for promenade concerts, a garden restaurant and three playgrounds. The park has been a listed cultural monument since 1992 and also a registered significant landscape feature, as its northern section preserves remnants of the original floodplain forest.
