Štvanice is a Vltava island between Holešovice and Žižkov, reached by footbridges from both banks. Its ice stadium, built in the 1930s, shaped generations of Czech hockey players - Jaromír Jágr trained here among others. The island also hosts tennis courts and open-air events throughout the year.
