About the venue

Vávrovice is a district of Opava lying roughly 5.5 km northwest of the city centre, on the right bank of the Opava river at the Polish border. The settlement has roots going back to the 14th century, when it belonged to the Knights Hospitaller. Today the area hosts outdoor cultural events, including the annual Opavský country širák country festival and rock and beer festivals at the Sokolovna grounds.
