About the venue

The Oblastní muzeum (Regional Museum) in Litoměřice occupies a former Renaissance town hall on Dlouhá Street, declared a national cultural monument at the end of 2023. The city's museum tradition goes back to 1874, when the painter Franz Krause founded the first local museum. Permanent displays cover the region's history from prehistory to the modern era, alongside natural history and traditional crafts of the Litoměřice area. The museum also runs a memorial to the poet Karel Hynek Mácha.
