Národní dům on Velká Hradební is a historic social venue whose current form dates from a reconstruction in 1895-1899. During the First Republic it served as the cultural hub of Ústí nad Labem's Czech minority, and on 23 November 1989 the local Civic Forum was founded here. Today it is run by the city's cultural centre and hosts balls, concerts, theatre performances and commercial events.
