Moravian Square

Brno

About the venue

Moravské náměstí is the largest square in Brno, split by a tram road into a park section and a paved section. The park has been a popular gathering spot since the late 18th century - it once housed the Kiosk music pavilion, and in 1891 the German House opened here. A major renovation completed in 2022 replaced the old fountain with a central water feature and a 120-metre wooden seating ring. The square is home to St Thomas's Church, the Governor's Palace with Moravian Gallery exhibitions, and sculptures representing the four Platonic virtues.
