Městské divadlo in Žďár nad Sázavou occupies a building from 1900-1901, designed by local builder Josef Křelina as a Národní dům (National House). It has served as a theatre since 1981 and took on its current appearance after a renovation in 2023. Companies from across the Czech Republic perform here, with a programme ranging from comedies and drama to children's shows. The building has four halls, is fully wheelchair accessible, and also hosts corporate and social events.
