About the venue

The ossuary of St. James in Brno is one of the largest medieval ossuaries in Central Europe, discovered beneath Jakubské náměstí only in 2001. Estimates put the number of remains at between 50,000 and 100,000 individuals. Today it functions both as a memorial site and an unusual venue for exhibitions and after-dark tours.
