Church of St. Nicholas

Hradec Králové

About the venue

A wooden log church from the 16th century, originally built in the East Slovak village of Habura. In 1935 the city of Hradec Králové purchased it and relocated it to Jiráskovy sady park at the confluence of the Elbe and Orlice rivers, where it was inaugurated as a memorial to legionaries who fell in World War I. Today it is a protected cultural monument of the Czech Republic, preserving its original iconostasis and wall paintings with biblical scenes. Guided tours are held on selected dates.
