Kostel sv. Mikuláše, Hradec Králové

Divotvornosti is an experiential art installation housed in a wooden church of St. Nicholas located in Jiráskovy Gardens in Hradec Králové. The church dates from 1605 and originates from the eastern Slovak village of Habura; it has been relocated several times over the centuries. The installation is custom-designed for this cultural monument with an extraordinary history, allowing visitors to experience its story through contemporary artistic means. The experience consists of two parts: the first, outdoor section is conducted via headphones, while the second takes place inside the church. Actor Jaroslav Plesl, a native of Hradec Králové, provides the narration. Through interactive elements, sensory engagement, and playful exploration, visitors will discover the history and present-day significance of this unique space. The installation offers a playful journey through the genius loci of this remarkable location, inviting imaginative and sensory exploration of the church's legacy.

The tour lasts approximately 45 minutes with a capacity limited to 15 people. The exhibition is available in both Czech and English.
