About the venue

The Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Stará Boleslav is one of the most important Marian pilgrimage sites in Bohemia. It stands on the spot where Prince Václav was murdered in 935, and its roots go back to the early Middle Ages. The church remains an active parish and draws pilgrims from across the country.
