Kino Sněžník

Děčín

About the venue

Kino Sněžník opened on 13 July 1945 and, with its original 1,021 seats, ranked among the largest cinemas in the country, behind only Zlín and Prague. The name changed several times - from Varieté to Kino Pohraniční stráže and back to Sněžník after a conversion to a panoramic cinema. Today it is a single-screen digital venue with 360-383 seats, a 4K Christie projector and 3D projection; the hall also hosts theatre performances and concerts. In summer, screenings move outdoors to the grounds of Děčín Castle. The cinema has been run by Městské divadlo Děčín since 2008.
