About the venue

Kulturní dům Střelnice in the Pražské Předměstí district of Hradec Králové traces its origins to 1797, when a company of civic marksmen was based here. The current modernist building was constructed in 1927-1928 to designs by architect Oldřich Liska. Its large hall holds up to 1,500 guests and regularly hosts concerts, balls, dance afternoons and corporate conferences. The venue has long been tied to the local social-democratic movement and was formerly known as Dělnický dům (Workers' House).
