About the venue

The "Balaton" lake - also known locally as Kačák - is an artificial reservoir of 9.5 ha formed by gravel and sand extraction in the mid-20th century, on the boundary between Nový Hrozenkov and Karolinka. The Na Stanoch recreation area has both grassy and sandy beaches, changing rooms, showers, snack stands, a playground and a beach volleyball court. A notable feature is an artificial ramp for acrobatic water jumps on skis and boards. In winter the frozen lake becomes a skating rink, and summer evenings bring music and dance events. The Bečva cycling trail runs through the grounds.
