Jezero "Balaton", Nový Hrozenkov

theater culture

The Museum and Information Centre of Nový Hrozenkov invites you to a theatre performance by the amateur group DIVADLA SCHOD from Valašské Meziříčí. The programme features an original comedy about insect life titled "Let the Bug Live".

The performance takes place on Saturday, 17 October 2026 at 19:00 in the hall of the Community House in Nový Hrozenkov.

About the venue: Jezero "Balaton"

The "Balaton" lake - also known locally as Kačák - is an artificial reservoir of 9.5 ha formed by gravel and sand extraction in the mid-20th century, on the boundary between Nový Hrozenkov and Karolinka. The Na Stanoch recreation area has both grassy and sandy beaches, changing rooms, showers, snack stands, a playground and a beach volleyball court. A notable feature is an artificial ramp for acrobatic water jumps on skis and boards. In winter the frozen lake becomes a skating rink, and summer evenings bring music and dance events. The Bečva cycling trail runs through the grounds.
