Brno Observatory and Planetarium is a contributory organisation of the City of Brno, opened in 1954 in a park on Kraví hora hill. After a major reconstruction in 2010-2011 designed by architect Martin Rudiš, the complex now houses a digitarium with a 17-metre projection dome, an exploratorium, a small planetarium, an observation deck, and a science walk. Alongside astronomy, the venue popularises physics, geology, chemistry and other natural sciences through interactive shows, exhibitions, and concerts.
