About the venue

Divadlo Apropo is a small author-driven theatre in Prague's Malá Strana district, founded in 2000 by Filip Jan Zvolský and Marek Popp. Since 2012 it has been based inside the Museum of Alchemists and Magicians of Old Prague - the main hall Al-Iksír seats 35, with an alchemical cellar space and an open-air stage called Pod věží also in use. The programme mixes drama, puppetry, cabaret, chanson concerts and children's fairy tales, performed by an ensemble drawn largely from graduates of Czech theatre schools.
