About the venue
The Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Most is a remarkable feat of engineering - in 1975-1977 the entire Gothic structure was moved 841 metres on rails to make way for open-cast coal mining. Built in the 16th century, it is one of the largest building relocations ever carried out. Today it serves both as a functioning church and a cultural landmark.
