Kutná Hora

About the venue

The Gothic Cathedral of St Barbara in Kutná Hora is one of the most important medieval buildings in the Czech Republic and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1995. Construction began in the 14th century, with architects Matyáš Rejsek and Benedikt Ried among those who shaped its distinctive silhouette. The cathedral was closely tied to the town's silver-mining heritage - St Barbara is the patron saint of miners. It remains an active church and hosts concerts and cultural events throughout the year.
