The Czech Museum of Silver in Kutná Hora is housed in Hrádek, a Gothic palace from the 15th century. The museum documents the city's rich mining and minting history — in the Middle Ages Kutná Hora was one of Europe's most important silver-mining centres. Visitors can also enter a genuine medieval mine tunnel beneath the building.
